What to Warewolf: Halloween Edition

If you want to talk scary, how about trying to find a new Halloween costume? Can you believe they make us do this every year? To make life a little easier on you, here’s a roundup of some of my favorite, fashionable Halloween costume ideas from around the web:

Masquerade Ball

We’re only a few episodes in, but I’m already obsessing over the uptown glamour of ABC’s 666 Park Avenue. Vanessa Williams is evil and fabulous on the show, and as much as I’d love to be her (on the show or IRL…), I’m really digging her masquerade ball costume from the Halloween episode. Plus, who doesn’t love wearing a great ball gown?

Loofah (with or without Soap)

Is it just me, or does this loofah costume look just like a couture gown from the runways of Fashion Week? Okay, that might be pushing it, but it would still be cute, easy, and fun. Not to mention the man in your life would be adorable as soap. If only he were always that clean.

Mary Poppins (and a Chimney Sweep)

Ladylike and proper is a big deal for Fall, so why not be the epitome of the trend and channel the classic Mary Poppins? A white blouse, long black skirt, red belt and cute black hat may already be in your closet. Just add an umbrella! For your arm candy, ask a friend or fellow to play chimney sweep. Chances to break out into song at random intervals abound!

Anna Wintour, Vogue Editor

Who is more stylish and more recognizable than Vogue editor Anna Wintour? Not only is she iconic, but the costume is easy to pull off and can mostly be made from items in your closet. Just don some classy clothes and accessories, carry around the latest issue of Vogue, and sport some oversized shades. Top it all off with a dark blonde bob, and you’re all set!

Pop Art

Strange, wonderful and creative – if you aren’t afraid of a little time and commitment, I challenge you to try this cool pop art costume. Line your face and wear a brightly colored wig for the full effect. Exaggeration is everything!

Cruella de Vil

One part fabulous, two parts devilish – Cruella de Vil is one costume that will never go out of style. Wear black and white with some touches of red, a light and dark wig, and don’t forget the fur! If your hubby wants to latch on as well, he can. As a puppy. Awww, how cute. 🙂
